Hi, I'm Andrew! I live in San Francisco, where I enjoy learning things, building things, and eating things. I hope this page can help you get to know me a little better.
Professional interests
My academic background is in economics, supply chain engineering, and computer science. Most of my work experience has been in analytics, including my current role as a data scientist. Some subjects of particular interest to me include:
- Machine learning

- Data visualization
- AI frameworks (not just NLP!)
- AI agents
Personal interests
My personal background is in nerdery, and some of my hobbies and interests include:
- PC gaming (strategy, sim, and RPG games)
- Playing guitar (preference is electric and loud)
- Cooking (I'm more of a theoretical cook than an applied cook)
- Dining (I'm better at this than cooking)
- Reading (non-fiction, sci-fi, and fantasy)
- Traveling (but forgetting to take any pictures)
Games I've enjoyed
- Civilization: Civilization 2 was one of the first games that really captured my imagination. Civilization 4 & 6 have been my favorite entries in the series.
- The Witcher 3: Everyone loves this game, and everyone is right. I felt completely drawn in to the world and story.
- Dwarf Fortress: Not everyone will see the beauty of spending two hours optimizing your barrel production system and then accidentally flooding your fortress with magma. But if you do, there's really only one game that delivers.
- Europa Universalis: I enjoy spreadsheet games, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
